The Shaklee Story
Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee founded the Shaklee Corporation in 1956. During the post-WWII era, America experienced a surge of new and innovative ideas. Plastics, chemical cleaners, aluminum cans, TV dinners, and fast food restaurants were all the rage, but Dr. Shaklee had a different idea for the modern world.
Born with tuberculosis in the late 1800s, Forrest wasn’t expected to live. His family moved from the coal mining town of Carlisle, Iowa, to a small farming community farther north. There, Forrest grew up on nutritious, whole food and fresh air. Convalescing most of his childhood, Forrest would spend many days observing the animals and plants around him.
Thus began his lifelong love of nature and man’s relationship with it. As an adult, he became a chiropractor, scientist, and philosopher. At age 21, he created one of the first multivitamins - Vitalized Minerals.
His experiences helped cultivate his lifelong philosophy of Living In Harmony With Nature® because he understood the healing power of nature. He continued to create supplements for his patients and always looked to nature as the source of health and wellness. He was a pioneer in the industry—a true champion for healthy living.
Follow the laws of Nature, and you’ll never go wrong.
Dr. Shaklee vowed to create products that would not harm a person, animal, or the planet. Today, the company remains dedicated to Dr. Shaklee's philosophy and continues to lead the health and wellness industry. Enjoy this short video:
The Shaklee Difference
All companies market their products as different, better, or unique, but Shaklee is exceptional. For almost seventy years, Shaklee has remained committed to Dr. Shaklee’s philosophy, which has not wavered. Our commitment to quality and safety is unmatched in the industry. I’ll share more on this later, but for now, here’s a short overview:
Movement - Skeletal Muscle and Longevity
I recently listened to an episode of The Huberman Podcast with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon on diet and exercise and how they play a key role in muscle synthesis. It was a game-changer for me. I think you’ll agree. 🤗
The relationship between quality protein, healthy skeletal muscle, and movement cannot be overstated. This is not about bodybuilding. It’s about healthy longevity. Let me know what you think!
